 The Colorado State University Pueblo Office of the Registrar links the institution with our past, present, and future students.  The office is responsible for maintaining the official student academic records of the University.  In addition, the Registrar’s Office provides a myriad of academic support services such as: academic record safekeeping; FERPA compliance; course registration; grade collection and processing; processing individual student course withdrawals; course and room scheduling; transcript delivery; transfer evaluation; degree audits; graduation tracking and clearance; enrollment and degree verifications; academic calendar planning; catalog publication; academic policy enforcement; and, construction of the course and final exam schedules.  Finally, the Registrar’s Office ensures compliance with extant local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The Office of the Registrar is dedicated to providing the best possible customer service to meet the needs of the University community.

Description of Job

 The Banner Administrative Associate provides administrative support to the Banner Systems Analyst, as well as the Registrar’s Office as a whole.
 
This position plays a significant role in the support of the University Student Information System (SIS) Ellucian Banner. These tasks are complex in nature and require consistency and accuracy to enter and maintain data.  This position will update Dean’s Lists and Academic Probation/Suspension each semester.   Places special billing codes on courses and sections for tuition/fees assessment for AR each semester. Places attributes on courses, so students can find courses with low or no cost books.   Assists with Banner Communication Management to send routine and new communications to students and faculty with regards to FERPA and student registration. Processes HR tuition discounts in Banner for employees.
 
The Banner Administrative Associate will assist with integrity of the SIS by testing as outlined by the Banner Systems Analyst. This position will troubleshooting system issues in conjunction with CSU & CSU Pueblo Banner and oversee the duplicate record process for Colorado State University Pueblo.


Primary Duties

  • Place special billing codes associated with various courses in SCADTL for AR to ensure that appropriate fees are being billed for students in various courses.
  • Add OER Book detail attributes in SCADTL for Provost Office to comply with new state mandate to notify student of courses with low/no cost books.
  • Process Dean’s List for Colleges and send appropriate reports to their offices.
  • Process Academic Probation in Banner and attach codes for the Advising Office.
  • Update/Process all major/minor changes for students in Banner, in addition to other Banner-related forms.
  • Assist Associate Registrars with data clean up in Banner from various reports.
  • Assist with creating and running reports for departments and ensure accuracy of data.
  • Create Registrar Office related BCM documents for communications with faculty, staff and students.
  • Process employee tuition discounts in Banner from HR.
  • Oversee Registrar’s Office Banner Security Access forms and permissions and removals.
  • Manage day-to-day duplicate records identified.   Includes maintenance which requires research, coordination and manual processing with CSU Pueblo and CSU Fort Collins. Contacting and coordinating with departments accordingly and manually merging data to the correct record. 
  • Contributes to additional functions within the Registrar’s Office, including customer service, 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Associate Registrar and Banner Systems Analyst.
  • Serve on internal and external committees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  •  Minimum one year experience in an office setting
  • Minimum one year experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven attention to detail and/or auditing experience
  • Experience working with faculty and students
  • Previous experience working with SIS systems (preferably Banner and related systems BCM & BDM)
