Assistant Professor, Applied/Experimental Psychology and Clinical Psychology

The Department of Psychology at The Catholic University of America seeks to fill two Tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Applied/Experimental and Clinical Psychology, to begin Fall 2022.

The Department offers BA, BS, MA, and PhD degrees, including an APA-accredited program in Clinical Psychology. Faculty have active research programs that attract external funding and involve national and international collaborations. The University is located on a 250-acre, park-like campus in northeast Washington DC, convenient to neighboring medical centers, universities, and laboratories including the NIH. Applied-Experimental applicants should have an ongoing research program with the potential to attract extramural grant funding. A range of content areas that focus on neuroscience / neuropsychology / biopsychology will be considered. The Department is especially interested in candidates with research programs focused on developmental, cognitive, and affective neuroscience. In addition, candidates who incorporate interdisciplinary and diversity in methodological approaches are encouraged to apply. Expertise in advanced methodology and statistics is desirable. Candidates should also be committed to excellence in teaching our graduate and undergraduate students, most notably in our BS in Psychological and Brain Sciences major and Neuroscience minor programs. 

Clinical applicants should have an ongoing research program with the potential to attract extramural grant funding and be committed to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and clinical training. A range of content areas that focus on Clinical Psychology with adults will be considered, including specializations in intervention, assessment, positive psychology, religiosity, behavioral medicine/health, couples, and/or diversity. Expertise in advanced methodology and statistics is desirable.
