The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) is seeking an energetic, detail oriented, and collaboration-minded Development Coordinator to support the School's fundraising office, including but not limited to administrative assistance, database management, gift processing and acknowledgments. This is an hourly (part-time) opportunity that will work up to 29 hour per week.

Perform daily gift processing and prepare weekly giving updates
Manage the timely execution of stewardship and acknowledgement letters
Utilize the university CRM system “RADAR” to enter transactions, data and constituent profile updates as needed
Work with development colleagues to prepare weekly reports for the dean
Compose scholarship letters for review and mail and enter in database
Assist the development team with processing reimbursements and travel expenses utilizing Christopherson/Chrome River
Process vendor payments using the VCU Procurement System
Reconcile monthly purchasing card transactions
Assist with donor and alumni events and other assigned tasks as needed

High school diploma or equivalent
Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet assigned deadlines
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment
The ability to use MS Office, Google Suite and relational databases and financial systems
Ability to write, edit, and develop communications for diverse audiences with a critical attention to detail
Sound judgment and the ability to communicate in a professional manner is required to develop relationships and effectively represent VCUarts to a diverse range of donors, prospects, and stakeholders in a complex and inclusive community
Enthusiasm and a willingness to take on various office-related tasks
Ability to work independently and in a fast paced team environment
Occasional travel involving an automobile and a willingness to work flexible hours if needed

Salary Range: $20 - $22
