The Coastal Carolina University LIFE program seeks an experienced individual for the position of Residential Support Coordinator, reporting to the LIFE Program Director. The Residential Support Coordinator will be responsible for developing and teaching independent living courses to students enrolled in the LIFE Program, meeting 1:1 weekly with a cohort of students, hiring, training and supporting residential success coaches who provide experiential learning supports and mentorship to LIFE students living in inclusive residential settings on campus, to acquire independent living skills through systematic instruction to assist with acquisition of skills, building natural supports, developing accommodations, and by identifying appropriate assistive technology. Communicate effectively with the director, and members of the LIFE Program team, students, interns, graduate assistants and parents. In addition, provide exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and experience working with youth and adults with an intellectual disability.  A master's degree in special education with a focus on secondary transition, social work, rehabilitation counseling, psychology or a related field and two years of experience working with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.
