Job Description:

The University of Florida Department of Radiology is a team of 40+ dedicated academic radiologists proudly serving the friendly university community of Gainesville, Florida, home to a top 5 public university in the nation and a top 2 hospital in the state of Florida, as ranked by US News & World Report.

We are actively recruiting to fill three (3) positions for a Body ER/Critical Care Radiologist. All 3 positions are non-tenure accruing positions at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor with assignment to our ER Division. Minimum requirements include an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of a Radiology Residency program. Applicants should be ABR certified or eligible and have a medical license in the state of Florida. Fellowship training is not required. This will be an overnight in-house position associated with in-house resident supervision. The hours of coverage are from 9 PM to 7 AM on Monday through Sunday including holidays, covering one week (7 days) on with two weeks (14 days) off.

Clinical responsibilities will include non-Neuroradiology adult and pediatric coverage of a 1,162 licensed bed academic hospital with a level 1 trauma center as well as two community based free standing emergency centers. The scope of studies will include adult and pediatric ER as well as STAT/ASAP inpatient non-Neuroradiology plain films, CTs, MRIs, US and NM studies. The candidate will also be responsible for emergent adult and pediatric diagnostic and therapeutic fluoroscopy studies. Although participation in resident lectures as well as administrative and academic activities is encouraged, it is not required.

Expected Salary:

Salary is $380,000 to $405,000 per year depending on rank. The faculty candidate will receive full health insurance and the opportunity to participate in 403(b) and 457(b) retirement programs.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum requirements include an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of a Radiology Residency program. Applicants should be ABR certified or eligible and have a medical license in the state of Florida. Fellowship training is not required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship preferred, but not required.
