Position Summary:
The Outreach Agent is a community-based leader located in the service area. As a facilitator and a liaison, the agent works with the Region Director and other university personnel to build relationships between the service area and the University. The Outreach Agent performs activities in support of regional stewardship to leverage community and University resources to improve the quality of life throughout EKU's service region. The Outreach Agent will promote the value of higher education, broker EKU programs and services to the region, foster strategies to improve educational advancement, economic development, and quality of life, work with the client base to identify and address needs, identify opportunities for external funding for sustainability and growth of the outreach services, and assist with evaluation of university programs and services. The agent's home campus will be Hazard and will serve as the primary point of contact for students needing services including admissions, advising, financial aid, and manages the EKU presence with University Center of the Mountains partnership.

Minimum Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Relations, Business, Human Resources, or related discipline is required.
-Master’s degree is preferred

Minimum Experience:
-One year of community engagement experience and experience with the region being served is required.

Minimum Licensure and Certification:
-A valid driver’s license is required

Promote and implement strategies to improve education advancement, economic development, and quality of life to ultimately increase enrollment at EKU through sustainable community and University programs.
Broker EKU programs and services within the assigned region to enhance leadership and entrepreneurial skills of developing professionals.
Enhance EKU’s visibility and reputation throughout the assigned Service Region to promote EKU as the “University of Choice” for individuals and groups.
Evaluate program processes and outcomes and analyze and report on results.
Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
