Founded in 1866, shortly after the end of the Civil War, Fisk University is a historically black university, and is the oldest institution of higher learning in Nashville, Tennessee. Responsibilities: Fisk University is currently hiring an accomplished faculty member in any business discipline to be the Cal Turner Endowed Chair of Business. Rank could be at the Professor or Associate Professor for tenure-track. Applicants must demonstrate an interest and high level of competence in teaching and research.

 

Qualifications: The Cal Turner Endowed Chair of Business at Fisk University is one of three endowed Chairs at the University. Persons selected for this position must have strong publications record in one or more, of the following areas; Business, Marketing or Management. The candidate selected will also be expected to provide leadership in the continuing development and implementation of the University’s plan to obtain initial AACSB accreditation. Responsible for the oversight of curriculum planning and management, including enrollment management, and program vitality evaluations. Must have significant experience in establishing and leading online instruction. The Chair will also be responsible for developing new degree programs. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Marketing or Management from an AACSB accredited school. Applicants from non-AACSB accredited schools will not be considered.

Experience:

Additional Qualifications: Lead and manage the University’s Business program. The University offers a Bachelor of Science in Business, an Associate degree in Business and is currently planning its first graduate programs Executive Leadership and Health Care Administration.

 

Salary:   Commensurate with experience and qualifications
