This job exists in the Department of Geography, an academic
instructional department at the University of Oregon with
significant research activities in various types of geographic
study. There are approximately 30 faculty & staff members, 50
graduates, 150 undergraduates, 20 student workers, 5
Post-Doctorates, and 5 Emeriti.
The Office Coordinator is the department's main receptionist and
the primary contact for the general public, students, graduate
employees, and faculty. This position will perform reception duties
including answering general office phone and email inquiries, while
providing support for general office operations, accounts payable,
payroll, purchasing, travel reimbursement, and special projects as
needed. The Office Coordinator will provide administrative support
for the department manager and faculty, and works closely with the
Undergraduate Advisor to schedule classes and classrooms throughout

is responsible for all steps involved with the process from
