Lewis University seeks nominations and applications for an experienced, innovative and collaborative academic leader for the position of Dean, College of Education and Social Sciences. The College of Education and Social Sciences (CoESS) prepares students for careers in education, law enforcement and public safety, political science, sociology, psychology and social work. CoESS accounts for more credit hours than any other college at Lewis University and has the most diverse faculty. The College's students and faculty – united by a common vision and shared dedication – work together to transform the classroom, school systems and the communities around the University.

The dean is the chief academic officer of the College of Education and Social Sciences. Reporting to the provost, the dean is responsible for the development, implementation, and review of academic programs, including the coordination of activities necessary for obtaining and maintaining disciplinary accreditation for college programs; the recruitment, support, supervision and evaluation of all faculty; the development and assessment of college strategy and budget; the furtherance of student success; and the development of opportunities for innovation, collaboration, fundraising, and growth in the college's fields and disciplines, nationally and internationally.
