Administrative Analyst/Planner (posting S3226PO)
The Office of Institutional Research at the University of Vermont seeks qualified individuals to join its team. There are two identical open positions that will be filled through this recruitment.
Job duties will include: Extract, gather, rectify, organize, maintain, analyze, interpret, project, report, and distribute faculty, student, and curricular information in support of the academic and fiscal management, planning, policy, and reporting activities of the University as a whole and of its multiple components, especially the academic colleges, schools, departments and programs. Collect and submit federally mandated faculty, staff, student, and course related data for the U.S Department of Education Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System(IPEDS). Perform one-time projects that require significant project planning and definition in addition to the related data gathering, analysis, and reporting functions. This position will report to the Associate Director of Institutional Research.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two to three years’ related experience. Technology skills including SQL query writing, statistical/spreadsheet software, and business intelligence or data visualization tools are required. Experience with relational databases is mandatory. Experience in data related activities of an organization using multiple data bases is required, as are effective communication skills. Background knowledge or formal training in higher education is a plus.
