The Department of Art & Art History is seeking applicants for a
full-time Lecturer in Foundations. Required qualifications: MFA;
documented college level teaching experience in visual art
foundations. The successful candidate will work in the foundations
area with a primary teaching assignment in Digital Foundations
and with a secondary teaching assignment
in Three-Dimensional Design. Candidates are expected to
demonstrate proficiency in digital software that includes Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Meshmixer or other 3D
software. Candidates that are also comfortable teaching fundamental
skills and basic concepts in 3D design which may include woodshop,
basic hand tools and 3D technology) are preferred. While lecturers
are not evaluated on professional practice, a record of studio
accomplishment is highly valued. The work load assignment for this
lecturer position is a 4/4 course load (8 classes per academic
year). Finalists will be invited to campus in February 2022.
