Job Summary:

The Research Program Coordinator supports the health experiences research portfolio led by Dr. Rachel Grob of the Center for Patient Partnerships/Health Experiences Research Network within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Responsibilities include coordinating diverse and complex health experiences research projects; acting as a subject matter expert on Health Experiences Research Network processes, protocols, and training and capacity building initiatives; and managing research administration tasks across multiple projects, including coding of qualitative data, protecting confidentiality, complying with privacy protocols, and processing aspects of grants and contracts. The Research Program Coordinator will interface directly with multiple stakeholders including research participants, researchers and research staff across multiple departments at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and colleagues across the country and world. This position will also supervise student hourly workers within the research program, assist with internal team member training, and provide mentorship to research staff.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Minimum of three years of experience coordinating complex qualitative health related research projects
- Minimum of two years of experience collaborating and building capacity with external research stakeholders
- Experience communicating with and recruiting diverse research participants using maximum variation sampling frames
- Experience with patient engagement techniques, such as establishing advisory boards, maintaining long-term relationships, building strong and inclusive teams
- Experience building platforms for disseminating meaningful health experiences on the internet, for example using the DIPEx methodology

Preferred:
- Experience coordinating national trainings for diverse research teams
- Knowledge of health advocacy landscape
- Experience providing staff or student support and/or supervisory support within a multidisciplinary team

License/Certification:

Required
Drivers License - Valid and Meets UW Risk Management Standards
Travel is required. Must provide own transportation or a valid driver's license and eligibility for Car Fleet usage is necessary.

Additional Information:

Position will ideally be staffed at 100% FTE.
