Vacancy Number: S-00814 Position Title: Financial Aid Coordinator Classification Title: Student Services Coordinator Department: Financial Aid Employment Type: Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates activities associated with financial aid services and assist the Senior Director with special projects as needed.

Assist students and parents with the application, disbursement, and repayment procedures associated with AUM’s financial aid administration.

Assist in the awarding, disbursement, and possible cancellation of award funds.

Manage the coordination of Outside scholarship funds, and Private/Alternative loan programs.

Coordinate the review process for ISIR corrections; the importing and exporting of ISIR, COD, and other loan files.

Coordinate training of support staff and student workers for quality control.

Assist students and parents with all phases of financial aid services.

Assist in the review and updating of office policies, procedures, and publications.

Monitor “Satisfactory Academic Progress” and adjust awards accordingly.

Provide FA outreach services to high schools and junior colleges as needed.

Process, review, and/or evaluate student documents.

Conduct student interviews.

Develop, manage, and/or interpret related files (e.g. payroll, documents, reports, forms).

Maintain related policies, procedures, and regulations to assure compliance.

Utilize and maintain related database and enter and transmit data as necessary.

Serve on university committees as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the University’s policies and procedures and those related to financial aid.
Knowledge of acceptable customer service techniques.
Knowledge of Banner Student and appropriate software systems.
Skill in making written and oral presentations.
Ability to plan and implement program operations.
Ability to select and train work study students to assist in office operations.
Ability to process, review, and evaluate student documents.
Ability to conduct student interviews.
Ability to interpret federal and state regulations and meet expected standards. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required and two (2) years of experience in financial aid administration and/or student services is required. Experience with Banner Student processing system is preferred.
