Marketing Coordinator

 

The award-winning St. Edward's University Marketing Office is an in-house agency providing integrated marketing services including strategy development, print and digital programs, media and public relations, social media, and market research. We communicate the St. Edward's story to increase engagement, attract resources, and achieve the university's goals.

 

The Marketing Coordinator Responsible for working with the Marketing Office and university partners to support reputation, recruitment and retention goals. The marketing coordinator is responsible for marketing and communications consultation, project management and delivery of effective marketing programs that focus on the current student, parent and alumni experience. This person helps maintain the efficient program execution of marketing and communications juggling a variety of projects simultaneously. The marketing coordinator uses a set of marketing technology tools including project planning, marketing automation, email marketing, SMS marketing and website content management systems. This role requires a team player who assists the account services team and works closely with the social media, creative, and web teams on projects. This person must be a self-starter able to communicate program updates and prioritization.

 

For consideration, a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field. Understanding and ability to quickly learn project management software, our Drupal website content management system and email marketing platforms such as Marketo and Emma are important for this position. Proven ability to articulate marketing and communication channel options, communicate with a variety of stakeholders, prioritize and navigate multiple diverse projects, deliver exceptional service, and measure program success are necessary for the marketing coordinator. This person must also thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, possess strong organizational skills, and be detail-oriented.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Communicate marketing program options and updates with campus partners across the university
  • Manage operational aspects of key marketing systems (SMS, marketing automation, CMS) to increase awareness, engagement, and conversion and report results
  • Analyze marketing data to develop insights and proactively make recommendations on areas for optimization
  • Manage the email marketing platform for audiences including current students
  • Assist in the management of the project management platform for the marketing and communications team
  • Serve as liaison between campus partners and Marketing Office, as needed
  • Coordinate between teams across campus, the marketing and communications team and vendors working with the university
  • Uphold university brand standards
