Assistant Professor of CIS

Shepherd University (SU) is located in scenic, historic Shepherdstown, West Virginia, about 90 minutes driving distance from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, and within driving distance of the Appalachian Trail, the Northern Virginia tech corridor, ​and the Maryland I-270 tech corridor.

The department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Engineering at SU is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. The successful applicant will teach 24 credits per academic year covering a variety of topics in computer information science.

The university invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Professor of Computer Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering starting August 2022. Responsibilities include teaching Computer Information Science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, university service, and advising. Courses may be face-to-face, hybrid, or online. Evening teaching may be required.
