The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and the College
of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh invites
applications for a full-time, appointment stream faculty position
(Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor) in our Information Systems
and Technology Management (ISTM) area starting Fall 2022.
The position requires: (1) a strong commitment to excellence in
teaching and student engagement with evidence of potential in both,
and (2) ability to teach across undergraduate, masters, and
executive education audiences in the following areas: data
analytics, data engineering, machine learning, natural language
processing, artificial intelligence, digital transformation,
project management, human-computer interaction, and technology
management. In addition, the position would also entail
participation in industry engagement, student co-curricular
activities, and school-level and university-level committee
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching
experience and to those with doctoral degree in technology
management, computer science, data science, or related disciplines,
or have strong prospects for completion prior to the July 1, 2022
start date. Professional work experience with “big data” analytics
and cloud computing tools (e.g., Python, R, Spark, Hadoop, AWS,
Azure, Google Could Platform) is highly desirable.
The successful hire will be expected to maintain one of the
following faculty qualification statuses in accordance with AACSB
guidelines: Scholarly Academic (SA), Practice Academic (PA), or
Scholarly Practitioner (SP).
