Position Summary: Provide administrative support to the Alumni Chair in the Humanities and the Graul Chair in Arts & Languages. Provide support for research and creative activity; monitor the chairs’ budgets; manage logistics for conferences and events; initiate check requests and travel/expense forms, and other confidential materials. Provide personal, e-mail, and telephone reception to a wide constituency. Supervise student workers. Minimum Qualifications:
•High School Diploma.
•4 or more years of previous office experience.
•Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel and Word) as used for preparing forms and maintaining correspondence, University reports, and special projects.
•Experience managing and reconciling budgets and analyzing financial data.
•Experience with purchasing office supplies and materials.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
•Ability to draft documents independently and proof-read documents for errors.
•Demonstrated history of punctuality at work.
•Demonstrated resourcefulness in solving work-related problems.
•Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in observance of deadlines.
•Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
•Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and respectfully with multiple constituents, including faculty, staff, students, parents, and university guests.
•Ability to adapt to new information and systems.
