Job Summary:
The successful applicant will possess the knowledge required to monitor and maintain data center operations. Primary duties include administration of the college's VMWare ESXi environment and other server technologies, NetApp SANs and other storage architecture, disaster recovery configuration, and data backups. Secondary duties include Windows Server operating system administration and other duties as assigned.

• Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the Technology Services Department.
• Monitor, maintain the college’s data center infrastructure, including about 50 VMWare ESXi hosts, multiple NetApp NAS/SAN solutions, and other servers.
• Monitor, maintain, and architect the college’s data storage environment
• Monitor, maintain, and architect the college’s backup and disaster recovery operations
• Provide backup support for Network Engineers specializing in other disciplines.
• Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission, and values, and contributes to the development of the Network Services Department.
• Practice superior customer service.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years’ experience administering Windows Server operating systems
• Advanced knowledge of VMWare ESXi administration, including at least 3 years’ experience maintaining virtual systems.
• Experience administering NetApp SAN, and NAS, and other storage technologies.
• Experience with datacenter monitoring, tuning and disaster recovery.
