Responsibilities:
The Office of Information Technology is seeking applicants for a Server Administrator that will also support the campus CRM system. This position will be responsible for administering windows and Linux servers for the university as well as applying upgrades and patches to the campus CRM system. The successful candidate will be customer service oriented and be able manage and update the campus server environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration techniques, including web file and print services. Proficiency working with Active Directory. Advanced knowledge of operating systems such as Windows server and Linux.
- Demonstrated experience with administering a CRM environment (preferably Microsoft Dynamics or Ellucian CRM Recruit) including the implementation, operation, and optimization best practices.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of IIS web server configuration and administration as well as basic knowledge of opens source web server technologies such as Apache and other open source solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of computer security best practices and policies including demonstrated experience securing server-based software.
- Communication/customer services skills: experience using diplomacy and superb communication skills when interacting with colleagues and clients, especially when assessing and resolving client/customer concerns. Experience communicating both technical and non-technical information to others.
- Collaboration and rapport-building skills. Experience contributing to a team. Problem analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage projects, updating colleagues and clients of progress.
- Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
- Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. Experience with systems-related issues and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance.
- Will serve in an on-call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Ellucian Recruit CRM.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field required.
- 5 years of progressive enterprise applications related experience required.
- Extremely high level of proficiency with Windows Server, Linux and Ellucian Recruit.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and planning skills.
Salary:
12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
