Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Career Development Outreach Coordinator.

The candidate would be expected to: be responsible for supporting the broad array of department-wide activities. More specifically, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for managing career development technologies, employer engagement events, and strategic marketing and communication efforts. Reporting to the Director for Employer Engagement within the Career Development Office (CDO), the Outreach Coordinator will lead the department's ongoing technology initiatives, including its career management system and the office's website, in an effort to maximize employer relationships and effectively connect students and alumni with employment opportunities. The Outreach Coordinator must be committed to overall student success, possess a strong understanding of best practices for communicating with college students, and have demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment, Intermediate knowledge of MS Word 2013, Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel 2013

Required Years of Experience: 2

Other Requirements:
Two years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, human resources or a related professional field.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coordinating marketing messages to segmented audiences with sound and successful execution. Demonstrated project and time management skills. Proven ability to curate content and develop social media personas on a variety of social media platforms aimed at increasing user engagement.

Experience with design software to develop marketing materials for students, alumni and employers. Strong technology skills. Creative, collaborative, and willing to work well independently or as part of a diverse team.

Ability to work outside of normal business hours - nights and weekends - as needed. Experience working in higher education. Experience with online career management systems or ability to learn online systems quickly. Experience with content management systems to maintain website. Experience coordinating in-person and virtual events.
