About the Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Admission Visitor Services, the Senior Assistant Director will build, supervise, and evaluate the Northeastern Husky Ambassador tour guide program by providing ongoing recruitment, training and evaluation to the Student Leadership Council, Committees, and 200+ skilled and diverse student leaders.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Assistant Director will collaborate with the Senior Assistant Director for Visitor Services on the planning and administration of group tours, HA visitor center staffing, summer student staffing, etc. Lead regular meetings with the Husky Ambassadors and work with the students to plan activities to build their university knowledge, professionalism, camaraderie and Husky pride. This position will oversee design, development, and assessment of daily tours, Admissions virtual tour, and self-guided tours. S/he will think creatively about how best to support special tour requests while working to meet the goals of the office and university. The Senior Assistant Director provides the highest level of service and engagement to all campus visitors and University constituents, ensuring that the Northeastern brand and image are accurately conveyed. S/he will support Visitor Center operations including but not limited to in person and virtual presentations and counseling prospective and admitted students on campus. In addition to supporting Visitor Center programming, this position will participate in on campus events and programming for prospective and admitted students representing the office of undergraduate admissions. The incumbent will read, evaluate, and make admission decision recommendations on first year and transfer applications. This position requires regular evening and weekend commitments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred, with 3-6 years of relevant experience. Analytical and process management skills are essential. Strong presentation, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Must pay attention to details and possess strong organizational skills. The ability to supervise and mentor students is critical. Background in admissions or student affairs desired along with an understanding of student development. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across units and is sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies is required.
