SPECIAL EVENTS WORKER
Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a Special Events Worker in the Physical Plant Department. Reporting to the Auxiliary Services Supervisor, the qualified candidate for this full-time, 12-month position will require high-energy to perform multiple special event and maintenance tasks, to include, setting up for college and non-college events, marking athletic fields and working with students, faculty, and staff to provide a wide range of services to the community.
Position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm. The duties of this job are performed both indoors and outdoors across campus and the work environment is subject to noise and dust. Stair climbing and regular lifting/moving of materials up to 50lbs is required. This position is classified as essential personnel by the College and employee would be required to report for work at periods when College is officially closed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience in special events set up and commercial audio/visual equipment in support of public events preferred,
- Ability to work as a team player and independently.
