VIRGINIA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY (www.vwu.edu) invites applications for the position of Registrar. 

The position of Registrar is responsible for planning, organizing, facilitating, and evaluating the services, functions, and processes in the Registrar’s Office; manages department personnel, ensures the integrity, management, and enhancement of the Ellucian/Colleague administrative software; provides accurate and current enrollment data for reporting and planning purposes; administers institutional academic policies; ensures the accuracy and security of student transcripts and pertinent records, in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Operational knowledge of Ellucian Colleague to include programming and data entry.
  • Strong and demonstrated interpersonal leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and able to multitask when conducting the assigned functions.
  • Currency in federal, state, local, and institutional policies that relate to academic records, institutional research and reporting, and institutional accreditation.
