Position Description

Steinhardt seeks candidates who are knowledgeable and experienced with masters' level teaching and clinical supervision for Masters-level programs in Mental Health and Wellness (MHW) and School Counseling. Teaching responsibilities consist of six courses (residential and online) per academic year. While teaching at the masters’ level is central to these appointments, interest in teaching at the undergraduate and doctoral level is also desirable. Cross-cultural, social justice, developmental and prevention perspectives on teaching are particularly valued. Opportunities for scholarly engagement is also encouraged.


An earned doctoral degree in psychology, preferably in School, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program, as well as a completed APA-accredited internship.  New York State licensure or, at a minimum, license eligible status is required.
