This is a full-time benefits eligible position. The IACS*-accredited UCM Counseling Center seeks a skilled clinician to join its team of professionals. The Counseling Center provides essential services to students, contributing to their mental health, functioning, and success as learners and leaders in their personal lives and in the community. *International Accreditation of Counseling Services

Duties include providing direct clinical service to students (initial consultation, suicide risk assessment, crisis management, brief individual, couples, and group therapy), both in-person and via telemental health. completing accurate and timely documentation, providing outreach and psychoeducation, providing consultation to the campus community, participation in staff meetings and projects, providing after-hours / on call services, if needed, providing supervision for staff clinicians, if needed and qualified, engaging in professional development to earn/maintain licensure.

Education & Formal Training Other Education & Formal Training
Masters in Counseling, in Social Work, or in related field that meets criteria for Missouri State licensure as Licensed Professional Counseling ( LPC ) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ) or as Licensed Marital & Family Therapist ( LMFT ) required.

Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or related field that meets criteria for Missouri State Licensure as Psychologist preferred.

APA -accredited pre-doctoral internship at a university/college counseling center (desirable, not required). Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation, Other - Electronic health record system Experience
One (1) year relevant clinical experience required.

Two or more years relevant clinical experience preferred.

Experience in university/college counseling center preferred. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
Licensed as Psychologist, Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred.

MO State License as Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred.

Qualified and able to provide supervision towards MO licensure as Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and/or Licensed Marital & Family Therapist preferred.

Must maintain licensure as well as professional liability insurance. Irregular work hours – occasional after-hours availability.

If selected for employment, incumbent can elect a nine month work schedule (working only during Fall and Spring semesters) or elect a ten month work schedule working August 1 through May 31st each year. Regardless of nine or ten month work schedule, insurance benefits are 12 month. Ability to Keyboard No keyboarding test required. Special Qualifications: Other Special Qualifications
Licensed to practice in Missouri as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Psychologist.

If unlicensed, must be fully licensed in MO within two (2) years of hire.

If licensed in a different state, must be fully licensed in MO within three (3) months of hire. (We will consider unlicensed applicants only if there is qualified CC staff to provide supervision toward licensure)

Must maintain licensure as well as professional liability insurance. Supplemental Questions
