DRONE CERTIFICATION INSTRUCTOR - PART TIME
OLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE

Olive-Harvey College is currently hiring a Drone Certification Instructor. We are looking for engaging and personable candidates who love drones and all things aviation. We strive to provide our students with world-class instruction which is why we are looking for instructors who are knowledgeable on all aviation topics. The Drone Certification course will prepare the students to register for the FAA Part 107 Aeronautical Knowledge Test. Continuing Education and Professional & Personal Development non-credit courses are available for students seeking occupational skills or personal enrichment.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Provide students with a fun and engaging experience.
• Create and follow all lesson plans, paying close attention to each day’s key concepts and content.
• Adapt instructional styles and approaches to meet individual student needs.
• Keep students on task and engaged throughout all classes and activities.
• Prepare project supplies for our hands-on classes.
• Must be able to take initiative, communicate well, and adapt to new situations, be tech-savvy, upbeat, and have passion for working with students.
• Able to work independently and as a team member.
• Passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Pilot’s License
• Must be able to work on weekends and/or week nights
• Currently owns a drone
• Must be engaging, personable, and have a love for drones and all things aviation.
• Teaching experience a plus
• FAA Part 107 certification is a plus
