Syracuse University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor in public economics with a particular interest in state and local public finance.
The position builds on the Maxwell School and department’s longstanding strength and commitment in public economics, urban economics, and state and local public finance. Candidates must demonstrate potential for scholarly research and should either have recently graduated from their doctoral studies or anticipate graduating by August 2022.

Responsibilities of the position include producing quality scholarly research, publishing in leading academic journals, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in public and urban economics, and advising doctoral students.
