General Statement of Duties:
The Athletic Communications and Marketing Director will promote and publicize all events for the Athletic Department; will enhance game day environment with the aim of increasing attendance and providing a great experience for the spectators, families, and student-athletes; will assistant the Sports Information Director with various sports as assigned; and will perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Promote and publicize the 18 intercollegiate varsity athletic programs through the media, social media, Northwood’s web site, and other creative avenues both on and off campus and with alumni
• Supervise student support staff and Promotions interns at events and in the athletic office
• Secure sponsorships from businesses and organizations
• Enhance game day experiences at all athletic events through promotions, entertainment, etc. through the use of interns and SAAC members.
• Maintain athletic website with up-to-date content in cooperation with Asst. AD for Communications
• Assist with radio and television productions
• Serve as the Sports Information contact for men’s/women’s cross country, men’s/women’s track & field, Softball, and Men’s and Women’s Soccer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Computer knowledge/skills and particular knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Office Professional including Word, Excel, Access, web site maintenance, statistical programs and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Supervision Exercised:
May supervise student employees.
