University is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a
Circulation Assistant! The Circulation Assistant assists patrons
and helps supervise the student workers at the circulation/reserve
desk, including hiring, training and scheduling. This position is
also responsible for opening and closing the law library,
maintaining the course reserve and general collections, answering
basic questions at the circulation reserve desk, and enforcing
university and law library policies. This position also supports
and works on projects for the law library director and assistant
director.

Description:
Open and close the law library (the law librarys normal hours are 8:00am 11:00pm weekdays and 9am 11:00pm on weekends); assist patrons at the circulation/reserve desk; maintain patron records, course reserves and the general collection; perform routine walk-throughs and safety checks; help manage study room reservations; will be required to work one weekend day
Provides administrative support to the law library director and assistant director and works on special projects as assigned by them
Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising student workers
Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelors degree strongly preferred
• Library experience strongly preferred
• High level of efficiency with Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong comfortability with learning new technologies
• Keen attention to detail and strong time management and analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Commitment to professionalism and providing the highest level of customer service and responsiveness
• Emotional and cultural intelligence with proven ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle difficult situations
• Must be creative and proactive
• Must be flexible
