About the Position
The Human Resource Benefits Coordinator supports the College's efforts to attract and retain employees by providing services and support in benefits administration. The position will be responsible for overseeing and administrating various employee benefits, including medical and dental, retirement savings, disability coverage, and workers' compensation. This position will also be responsible for coordination of open enrollment and processing of the tuition program.

About the Position
The Human Resource Benefits Coordinator supports the College's efforts to attract and retain employees by providing services and support in benefits administration. This position will also be responsible for coordination of open enrollment and processing of the tuition program.
What You'll Do
- Manage benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick,
equitable, courteous resolution.
- Maintain contact in person, and by phone or mail, with
hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, employees, and
beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of
benefits for all employees.
- Implement approved new plans or changes to existing plans by
preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other
media for communicating plans to employees.
- Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs.
- Conduct benefits enrollment for all eligible employee and
manage Open Enrollment process.
- Process requests for tuition reimbursement, waiver, and
exchanges.
- Chair the Employee Benefits Committee.
- Submit periodic regulatory reporting to meet
requirements.
- Assure compliance and conduct analysis as required/needed, in
accordance with compliance checklist.
- Assume responsibility for the accurate and timely reporting for
all benefit compliance.
- Manage the annual retirement savings plan audit.
- Calculate and reconcile benefit payments, ensuring vendor
records match payroll documentation.
- Allocate benefit expenses to appropriate budget accounts.
- Audit vendor reports to ensure accuracy of enrollment,
deductions, charges and contributions.
- Reconcile deferred benefit deductions.
- Work closely with Payroll & Business Office to identify and
resolve benefit-related accounting issues.
- Maintain confidential information and data as needed using the
HRIS system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 2 years experience in similar HR benefit administration
position.
- PHR, SHRM-CP certification--or ability to acquire within one
(1) year of employment
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and work under
pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to
detail.
- Ability to understand, interpret, develop and communicate
policies and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships and strong customer service.
- 5 years experience in similar HR benefit administration
position.
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CEBS certification.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a
computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the
organization’s facilities.

- 22.5 hours per week/7.5 hours per day
- $29.00 - $30.75 / hour
