    Department Summary

    Facilities Planning & Management is here to provide, maintain, and enhance the campus community in support of the University's mission. Facilities Planning & Management consists of two divisions whose combined scope encompasses all aspects of Facilities at California State University, San Bernardino: Facilities Management and Facilities Planning, Design & Construction.

    Job Summary

    The Administrative Support Coordinator provides the Office of Sustainability with administrative support work and ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of other support staff. The administrative work performed is usually operational and procedural in nature. Work is often project-oriented involving the full scope of activities and accountability from planning, initiation, execution, and coordination to implementation and evaluation. Interpersonal contacts are varied and often at the higher level and tend to involve a broad range of problem-solving activities.

    Responsibilities include customer service, champion building, coordinating and planning events, supporting the development and maintenance of the Sustainability portal/website, creating bulletins and social media posts, data collection and entry, developing infographics, drafting agendas and meeting minutes, maintaining calendars, and other duties as assigned.

    Employment Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Probationary with the possibility of converting to permanent.

    Work Schedule

    Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, weekends and evenings may be required.

    Key Qualifications
  • Experience to be fully functional in all technical aspects of work assignments.
  • Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.
  • Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.
  • Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform standard business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data, and make simple projections.
  • Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports.
  • Ability to handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or its equivalent AND three years of progressively responsible experience in general office clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent.

Salary:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $3,300 per month

Classification Salary Range: $3,064 - $5,148 per month
