Summary:
Utah Valley University is looking to hire a full-time plumber, team player with great service skills. The successful candidate will perform a variety of skilled plumbing and maintenance duties in the construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of facilities. Required Qualifications:
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent plus five years of trades experience directly related to the duties. Requires a well rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, methods and materials used in the plumbing trade.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of plumbing installation, welding, maintenance, and repair skills.
* Knowledge of water, and natural gas distribution systems maintenance and repair.
* Skill in plumbing techniques to troubleshoot, analyze, and repair plumbing and related systems.
* Skill in the safe and efficient operation of hand and related tools of the trade.
* Good verbal communication skills to deliver quality customer service to internal/external clients.
* Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines.
* Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
* Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
Journeyman plumber license + 2 years directly related experience
OR Field Related BS Degree + 2 years of directly related experience.

Journeyman Plumber license is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:
* Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. -Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
* Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
* Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Pay Range: $38,323 - $47,904
