Position Summary:
The University of Idaho’s Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD), College of Education, Health and Human Sciences seeks passionate and well-qualified applicants for a Clinical Faculty appointment non-tenured to direct the Idaho Project for Children with Deaf/Blindness. The successful candidate will also participate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction as be a member of the Special Education faculty and a member of the CDHD innovative leadership team working to improve lives of people with disabilities and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Doctoral degree in education/special education, psychology, or another human service-related field. Experience:

  • Direct experience meeting the specific needs of children and youth with deaf blindness and/or other significant disabilities, families and professionals including teachers and other allied health professionals.
  • Experience in leadership role(s);
  • Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity;.
  • Demonstrated grant writing abilities;


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:

  • College level teaching experience;
  • Knowledge and Experience in behavioral principles;
  • Experience working with University, State and National policy and systems change teams;
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
  • Knowledge and Experience in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND Programs).
