Job Description



PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Coordinator III, Office of External and Employer Relations (OEER) supports the Director, OEER Business Operations, as well as provides administrative assistance as needed. Under direct supervision, position is responsible for multiple unique duties and projects, from planning to implementation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manages assigned location budgets, as well as auditing and monitoring multiple department budgets within the assigned location. Involves analyzing data, performing research, preparing reports, and resolving and/or offering recommendations for resolutions to budget issues in working with Finance and Administration
  2. Manages and serves as liaison for assigned location for all human resource functions.
  3. Works closely with assigned location Facilities for the coordination of various accounting activities including payment of invoices, initiating requisitions and purchase orders and research and reconciliation of accounts.
  4. Conducts research, collects data, and creates a variety of reports, presentations, correspondences and communications (including hard copy and digital documents)
  5. Sends reports and correspondences on behalf of the O EER division.
  6. Acts a Subject Matter Expert within the OEER office; may provide training, guidance, and oversight of staff and workflows.
  7. Acts as liaison for assigned location Employees and Business Partners with OEER; works closely with internal and external constituents.
  8. Coordinates, plans, implements and participates in multiple projects, events, conferences, etc.
  9. Coordinates with Business Partners for hospitality and communication on behalf of DEER including, announcements, meetings and customer service issues
  10. Organizes and tracks legal matters in a variety of detailed databases for the division.
  11. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:
    • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
    • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
    • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Salary

Hiring salary range is $46,300 - $53,245

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
