Position Purpose
The Research Project Coordinator will play a key role in the operations of two innovative projects based at the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health at Geisel School of Medicine. The main project, funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, is a study to evaluate the efficacy of a yoga-mindfulness intervention to prevent relapse among pregnant and parenting women with substance use conditions. The other study, funded by the National Institute on Disability Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research, addresses adaptation and evaluation of a digital care management platform for individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use conditions.
The Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Research Project Manager and under the overall supervision of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Sarah Lord.
Note: Continuing employment is based on availability of grant funds.

Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social sciences or human services-related field, or the equivalent.
* At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health research and administration of study protocols, including recruitment outreach and consenting, assessment implementation, database management and participant tracking.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as a team member.
* Meticulous attention to detail, organized, efficient, and able to handle competing priorities.
* Previous work with regulatory protocols in research studies.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in social science or human services-related field.
* Experience with qualitative methods and analyses.
* Proficiency with SPSS, SAS or other statistical package.

Research Responsibilities
Helps to create study protocols and standard operating procedures for study trials. Identifies and troubleshoots any challenges that arise in study trial execution. Ensures that study activities are carried out according to protocol, including but not limited to participant recruitment, implementation of study assessments and interviews, and required documentation.
Reviews entered data, resolves data queries and missing information. Documents all data accurately and according to protocol. Develops systems for timely tracking, organizing and disbursing study incentives. Maintains study files in accordance with federal regulations. Assists in management and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. Assists in preparation of scientific presentations, reports, manuscripts and grants. Provides updates on study recruitment, safety events, achievement of study goals and follow-up retention rates. Prepares and manages regulatory documents for institutional review boards and study sponsor. Reviews filed regulatory documents for completion, reviews entered data stored both electronically and as hard copy, resolves data queries, and works with Project Manager and other study staff to identify or obtain missing information.
Documents all steps accurately and according to protocol or manual of procedures. Confirms that all data entry is complete and correct. Assures that Federal guidelines and requirements are met, and all work is completed in accordance with human subject research Good Clinical Practice. Assists in conduct of literature searches of identified topic areas. Participates in on-going trainings and keeps abreast of developments in the field.

Assists in planning and organizing meetings (both remote and in-person), attends meetings and takes comprehensive meeting minutes. Works with Project Manager and other team members to develop and maintain an organized reference database.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with study staff, affiliates, and study participants and site affiliates. Effectively communicates study protocol and research goals to study affiliates, study sites, and other partners. Contributes to and works well with the study team and CTBH members. Properly represents the studies, CTBH, and Dartmouth College in all aspects of employment and associated duties. Manages study website and other technology components.
