This position offers a hybrid opportunity to work both remotely and onsite and therefore requires that the incumbent reside within a commutable distance to Hanover, NH. Location of Position

Apply knowledge of reporting and analytics for data-driven decision making in support of Dartmouth Advancement’s mission. Deliver reliable and timely insights into the value and success of past programs or future opportunities across alumni engagement and fundraising. Build interactive reports and models combining multiple data sources to evaluate operational effectiveness, understanding the needs for consistency, scalability and sustainability. Incorporate visualizations, KPIs, and narratives to highlight insights, trends, and developments requiring attention. Communicate analysis, predictions, and recommendations to leadership. Work with and lead cross-functional teams to implement, analyze, and improve effective business processes. Description Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Six years of experience involving extensive contact with customers identifying, researching, analyzing, and resolving complex questions.
* Demonstrated curiosity and ability to apply data when confronted with unknown, hypothetical, or anecdotal causal links.
* Experience with query languages, data warehouses, and business analysis/data visualization software.
* Oral and written communication skills that support effective communication with technical staff and business leadership.
* Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize multiple deadline-driven tasks.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to function independently with minimal oversight.
* Ability to quickly learn and work with new tools.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment with sensitive information.
* Ability to work in a collaborative team environment where consensus-based decision making is driven by data.
* Commitment to customer service, diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
* Fluency with Microsoft Office products and other common office software.

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Development and Alumni Relations business requirements and goals.
* Experience developing predictive models.
* Experience in higher education and/or fundraising environment.

Key Accountabilities

Description
* Develop and enhance analytics for decision making. Use query, report building and data visualization skills to mine data sources, identify trends and predict future behavior. Prepare and deliver analyses, presentations and written reports to communicate findings to colleagues, managers, and senior leadership and recommend appropriate solutions or courses of action. Develop and test new reports, data elements, and changes to existing reports. Provide end user training and documentation relative to the use of data and reports. Percentage Of Time 50 Description
* Develop business, functional, and technical specifications. Dartmouth Advancement uses a range of systems for relationship management; email marketing; career networking; making and processing philanthropic gifts; and volunteer engagement. Prepare for system updates, identify changes that may be required to support software updates/releases, and plan for business changes, including system migrations and vendor integrations. Identify gaps and potential solutions. Work with programmers during development cycle to complete project specifications, complete coding in a timely manner, define and execute test plans, and manage releases. * Develop strong collaborative partnerships across business units. This role promotes utilization and understanding of data in assessing existing and future business/system needs. Develop metrics and evaluate the impact of existing and proposed processes and initiatives. Communicate needs to management structures and work to define future direction and priorities. Facilitate communications regarding changes in systems, policies, and processes. Percentage Of Time 20
