Responsibilities:

This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position on the Teaching Excellence track in the College of Humanities and Sciences. The successful candidate will teach 12 credits, in each of two semesters, in mathematics at both the introductory and advanced levels, within the general education curriculum as required by various university science, engineering, and design majors. The successful candidate will participate in service at the program, college and/or university level, and contribute to course assessment as needed under direction of course or program coordinator. Participation in college faculty meetings is required. Anticipated start date will be August 2022.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIRED: 

Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in mathematics or math pedagogy, or a closely related discipline, by the employment start date. 

Experience teaching mathematics at the university level is required; 3-4 years’ experience is preferred. Candidates’ experience should demonstrate an aptitude to engage in a collaborative teaching and learning environment. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to apply active student learning pedagogies in the college classroom.
