If you are excited about the challenge of deploying a new warehouse system at a large university, you may be the candidate we’re looking for. As a SQL Developer for Data Warehouse Technology, you’ll be working with a team to implement a new warehouse solution for the campus. Your role will also work collaboratively with Institutional Research and Decision Support and others in the campus community to enhance warehouse systems to fit the needs of the university and support their data needs. Position Function
The position’s primary responsibilities include development and generation of complex data extracts from the Ball State ERP System (Oracle/Ellucian Banner) in order to populate and maintain the BSU data warehouse environment.
Responsible for providing database administrative support for Ball State’s enterprise database servers; provide database solutions and support to clients of Enterprise Information Systems ( EIS ); effectively utilize the resource areas available within and outside of EIS in order to implement appropriate solutions that address the needs of clients. Help to ensure the high reliability and availability of applications running on local or remotely hosted enterprise systems. Additionally, this position will maintain the enterprise data warehouse and work with the ERP Administrators in Banner. This position will also play a key role in creating Extract, Transform and Load ( ETL ) processes responsible for pulling data from Banner destined for the institutions data warehouse. 100% remote work may be awarded based upon experience and expertise of the selected candidate.
Minimum Education
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.
Or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree:
2. Associate’s degree plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to two years.
Or
3. High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to four years.
Minimum Experience
One year’s experience working in higher education, nonprofit, or public sector developing and maintaining data reporting systems and infrastructure. Strong technical expertise in data management, development of database applications and understanding of business intelligence and relational database concepts. Experience gained through professional employment or internship experience will count towards this requirement. Competency and proficiency with ETL using a variety of data sources and destinations.
Minimum Other
Demonstrated expertise in IT project leadership spanning all phases of development; proven verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated competency in SQL .

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
