Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties:
This position consists of teaching three psychology courses per semester, advising students, and engaging in service. Courses to be taught will primarily consist of those in the area of social psychology and may be at the undergraduate or graduate level. In addition, courses to be taught will include those in the general psychology curriculum, such as Psychology of Personality, Research Methods in Psychology, and Introduction to Psychology. Further, the position will include teaching courses related to the development and completion of master's level student capstone projects. This is a campus-based position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:
Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree

Demonstrated evidence of quality teaching
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design, including online instruction, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and assessment of learning outcomes.
Conveying oral and written information in understandable ways and communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to academically advise undergraduate psychology majors.
Ability to supervise psychology graduate student capstone projects.
Working effectively with others.
Time management skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications

Ability to conduct academic research in the area of social psychology.
Ability to mentor undergraduate student research.
