Senior Director of Communications

KIMEP University

Office of the President is looking for local and international applicants for the vacant position of Senior Director of Communications.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordinate and manage logistics for public events and conferences on behalf of the Office of the President;
• Coordinate and manage logistics for international media visits to KIMEP University;
• Serve as a point of contact on cooperative projects with partner organizations;
• Manage student project implementation grants awarded to KIMEP University by partner organizations;
• Conduct research for the President of KIMEP University;
• Draft speeches and public statements on behalf of the President of KIMEP University;
• Working with the Communications Officer and Communications Assistant, draft external correspondence for the President of KIMEP University;
• Conduct research, on behalf of the President of KIMEP University, on academic and administrative matters;
• In the absence of the Communications Assistant, receive and direct incoming correspondence;
• Supervise Communications Officer and Communications Assistant;
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in a relevant field from a western higher education institution: experience of western higher education institution management skills; ability to effectively work with people from all backgrounds and nationalities; expertise across the Windows Office suite at minimum; native fluency in English; working knowledge of Russian. 

Preferred Qualifications:

A master degree in a relevant field from a western higher education institution: experience of western higher education institution management skills; ability to effectively work with people from all backgrounds and nationalities; expertise across the Windows Office suite at minimum; native fluency in English; fluency in Russian; fluency in one other language.
