This is a full-time benefits eligible position. The IACS -accredited UCM Counseling Center provides direct clinical services to students, as well as outreach and consultation to the campus community.

This position will have an emphasis on providing direct services, outreach, and consultation, and coordinating the Counseling Center’s efforts to address diversity and equity issues in the mental health needs of our students.

This position will be providing initial consultation, crisis intervention, and individual, couples, and group counseling to college students; providing services in-person or via tele-mental health as appropriate; completing appropriate and timely documentation of clinical contacts; coordinating the Counseling Center’s efforts to address diversity and equity issues and improve services to meet students’ mental health needs; and providing outreach, consultation, and training to campus community on diversity and mental health issues.

This is a 10 month position working May – August each academic year however insurance benefits are covered for all 12 months. Education & Formal Training Other Education & Formal Training
Master’s degree in the following field(s) of study: Counseling, Social Work, or related field required.

Doctorate degree in the following field(s) of study: Counseling or Clinical Psychology or related field preferred. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Presentation, Other - Electronic health records system. Experience
Two (2) years relevant clinical experience required.

Experience and competence in working with clients of diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA, first-generation, and international students.

Experience providing training and consultation on diversity concerns.

Experience working in a college/university campus or with college-aged population strongly preferred. Licensed for independent practice as Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist, or equivalent; provisional license considered. If provisionally licensed or licensed in a different state, must be fully licensed in Missouri with three (3) months of employment.
