The Associate Dean will have the unique opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative leadership team and to contribute broadly in on-going efforts to enhance and expand every aspect of an internationally recognized academic and health care organization. The ADAP will provide transformative leadership and effective day-to-day managerial support with the goal of ensuring the school’s academic programs, including both the Doctor of Pharmacy program and graduate programs, attain the highest national standards for quality and student outcomes in their respective fields.

The Harrison School of Pharmacy ( HSOP ) is a global destination for pharmacy education, a hub of educational innovation, a leader in impactful research and scholarship, and a driver of new clinical practice models that transform patient and health systems outcomes. Our mission is to serve the public through education, research, and patient care that have a direct, positive impact on human health and wellness.

HSOP is Alabama’s only public institution charged with educating pharmacists and preparing them to manage patient care today and into the future. In addition to the main campus in Auburn, the school has a branch campus located in Mobile, Alabama on the campus of the University of South Alabama.

HSOP offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program as well as graduate programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences with concentrations in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Health Outcomes Research and Policy. Students are able to enroll in several dual degree programs including the PharmD/PhD, PharmD/ MBA, and PharmD/ MPH There are typically between 550-600 students in the PharmD program and approximately 60-70 graduate students at any given time.

Auburn University, located on a beautiful campus in east Alabama and only a short drive from Atlanta, Georgia, holds an “R1” designation from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. The school is a member of the Southeastern Conference and is home to a wide array of academic, athletic, cultural, and social events each year. The City of Auburn boasts a strong school system and is often rated among the best places in the state and nation to live and retire.
