Summary: 

Reporting to the Title III Primary Investigator/AVP of Strategic Initiatives, the Project Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational elements of the Title III grant awarded to Keuka College in 2021.  The Director serves facilitates the development and implementation of the two activities (i.e., onboarding and transition support for low-income and first-generation students, guided pathways implementation) of the Barrier Reduction to Accelerated Student Success (BRASS) project to enable a smooth flow of communication, continuity of effort, and accomplishment of project objectives.  These activities include improving new student orientation, the First-Year Experience course, remedial math, Course Scheduling Process and first-year advising, data analytics, reporting, and enhancing use of campus Early Alert System, developing a student self-service mobile application, creating Supplemental Instruction and Program Pathways/Maps.  This position is supported by a five-year Title III grant and requires strong collaboration and project management skills.

 Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall project leadership and supervision to ensure accomplishment of Project Objectives
  • Oversee the conceptualization and implementation of all components of Title III grant activity
  • Participate in hiring new project-related personnel, including retention data specialist, first-year academic adviser, supplemental instruction coordinator, supplemental instruction leaders, and peer mentors
  • Interface with IT to ensure integration of technology enhancements for each initiative
  • Foster college-wide participation in the Activity, including serving on the First-Year Experience Steering Committee
  • Prepare and present monthly Title III reports to the Primary Investigator/AVP of Strategic Initiatives and other stakeholders
  • Participate in annual Title III evaluation and reporting
  • Create and maintain all documents (print and electronic, internal and external) required by the Department of Education
  • Assist the Principal Investigator in the Department of Education reporting
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements
  • Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies
  • Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree required in adult education, public administration, or related fields from an accredited college or university
  2. Progressive responsibility in higher education administration
  3. Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing grants which can include: applying for grants, post-grant management, monitoring compliance, and reporting activities, monitoring budgets per applicable fiscal restraints, and maintaining grant records.
  4. Minimum of four (4) years of experience working with state or federally funded educational opportunity programs, academic support programs, or similar programs for underrepresented, pell-eligible, and/or first-generation college students
  5. Experience in staff supervision, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  6. Formal training or experience in best practices and programming improving the persistence, academic standing, and graduation rates of underrepresented, pell-eligible, and first-generation college students
  7. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  8. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  9. Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
  10. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people

 Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional evening hours/weekends.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
