Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the University Bursar, and the day-to-day direction of the Associate A.D./External Affairs, the position oversees and coordinates all Hornet Athletics ticket operations. The position is responsible for building and maintaining all Athletic events and offers for Sacramento State Athletics events. Must be available nights and weekends and able to work a flexible schedule. You will be need to be at all Athletic home games and traveling to some away games. Make sure all ticket operations equipment and lists are ready for each home game. Also responsible for building season packages and contacting season ticket holders for renewal as well as making outbound calls for new season ticket sales for all ticketed sports. Work on group sales and prospecting for new groups.

FLSA: Exempt

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3897-$7051 per month

Hiring Range: $3897-$4092 per month

Recruitment Type: Regular (probationary)

Time Base: Full-Time

Pay Plan: 12 month

Work Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, and must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends for Athletic events.

About Hornet Tickets:
Welcome to the central source for tickets to all public events at the University, including the Theatre, Dance, Music, Athletics and special events.

The office is open for advanced ticket sales to both the campus community and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Required Qualifications

Required: Must be comparable to the Minimum Qualifications, appropriate to the skill level of the position, and would allow an incumbent to satisfactorily perform the Essential Functions of the position.
Education
1. Bachelor's degree OR at least four years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities
Experience
2. Experience with development stewardship and external relations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
3. Experience with providing lead work direction to a large number of transitory staff; including selection, hiring, termination, training and scheduling.
4. Experience with cash handling, including credit card security and daily balancing and reconciliation
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid foundation in grammar, spelling and the composition of various communication vehicles are essential
6. Experience with ticketing operations and ticketing software
7. Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
10. Ability to follow policies, rules and regulations set forth by the University, CSU and NCAA
11. Ability to support and positively contribute to the mission, goals, and objectives of the Athletics Department

    Preferred Qualifications

    12. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations surrounding ticket distribution and sales
    13. 5 years of ticket office experience
    14. Experience using a Ticketing System and season ticket solicitations
    15. Five years of ticket operations or technical experience
    16. Two years or more of staff supervision

    Required Licenses/Certifications

    Valid driver's license and maintenance of safe driving record required.
