Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Office Operations Coordinator is responsible for primary personnel and budgetary support along with planning and organizing the total administrative operations of the Services to Students with Disabilities (SSWD) Office and ensuring that the personnel, budgetary, and administrative objectives of the department are accomplished. The Office Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, analyzing, documenting, and recommending proper courses of actions related to day-to-day operations, administrative workflow, and office policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for general and specific administrative functions within the office of SSWD, providing administrative support to the SSWD Director, Associate Director, Coordinators and leads.
The Office Operations Manager must have thorough knowledge of budget policies, procedures, and functions of SSWD and the university in order to complete budget, personnel, and administrative operations. This position requires extensive interaction and a positive working relationship with SSWD staff and the campus community, which includes university staff, faculty, and students.

Minimum Qualifications
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite. These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/ vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency using standard office equipment and software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Common Management Systems (CMS), Common Financial Systems (CFS), Finance Data Warehouse (FDW), COGNOS, Clockwork and other software systems used by department.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Experience with personnel administration in a bargaining-unit environment.
- One or more years of experience working with personnel and/or financial administration.
- One or more years of administrative work experience.
- Experience supporting administrative departments or serving as a liaison for the organizational unit.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to personnel and budget processing in higher education.
- Working knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to learn more about disabilities
