About the Opportunity:
This position reports to the Director of Finance & Administration and will work closely with the Associate Dean of Administration and Finance. The position is to manage the day-to-day financial functions and workflows within Khoury college budgets. The position will perform budget and variance analysis overseeing the Khoury College's Department Heads and Budget Administrators in the monitoring and analysis of departmental budgets including operating, endowed, gift, and designated funds; preparing financial forecasts/reports as needed. The individual will execute special projects as needed pertaining to but not limited to with yearly merit budget process.

Responsibilities:
The primary role will be to have a solid understanding of financial and research data and will be able to draw correlations between all data sets. The Associate Director will have strong excel skills and knowledge of advanced functions to manipulate and combine data from multiple sources to produce financial reports for our in-network campuses and college institutes.

The Associate Director will help provide strategic, creative, forward-thinking leadership and solutions oriented fiscal advice and counsel for the Khoury College. A high degree is required of demonstrated technical skills in fiscal management, knowledge of accounting and business practices. Ability to strategically manage funds effectively from a variety of sources and on a variety of fiscal cycles.

The position is responsible for the development and implementation of internal controls that ensure compliance with University and College policies and procedures. The position will perform process optimization and develop documentation for all Finance functions within Khoury.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required in Business Administration or a related field; 5 to 7 years of academic or business administrative experience preferred; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically excel is required; Demonstrates computer literacy in database and spreadsheet software with emphasis on financial application; Experience with Banner Finance, Concur, Cognos; Discretion & Confidentiality must demonstrate ability to handle sensitive & confidential manners.; Leadership- ability to proactively identify issues and initiate plans to address; Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service; Individual must be collaborative and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of organization as well as demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work well under pressure; Experience with budget review/reconciliation, HR processes, financial reporting, and financial management software is preferred. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels and have excellent organizational skills.; Experience building and maintaining solid relationships with external vendors in a professional setting; Collaborative strategies and team leadership skills a must; The ideal candidate would have a passion for analyzing and understanding data; Demonstrated experience working both independently and as a member of a team; Strong program management, organization and analytical skills required
