Job Description Indiana University East, Richmond, IN, invites applications for a full-time faculty position focused on preparing future teachers to teach writing commencing August 1, 2022. Candidates for all full-time faculty positions should be “teacher scholars” demonstrating a strong desire to excel in teaching and maintaining an active research agenda. Candidate qualifications will determine the scope and responsibilities of the position. A terminal degree is required for the tenure-track position.  Online delivery of programs is an increasingly important aspect of the IU East enrollment strategy and preference will be given to candidates with experience in online education. This position is for the academic year, tenure-track or long-term lecturer position.  Learn more about the School of Education.

You may also request a physical copy by emailing IU Public Safety at iups@iu.edu or by visiting IUPD.     Required Qualifications ·       A demonstrated ability to effectively teach methods courses in English/Language Arts and writing instruction for K12 learners experience; other areas of specialization will also be considered.  ·       A minimum of three (3) years of licensed, full-time, classroom teaching experience in a K-6 classroom is required; experience in public schools is preferred.  ·       A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and student success.   ·       A demonstrated ability to work in a professional and collaborative team environment.   ·       An understanding of the value of diversity of faculty, staff and students in an academic setting.   Education Qualifications  ·       Ph.D. or Ed.D. for tenure-track position. ·       Masters Degree for long-term lecturer position. ·       Evidence of an active program of research for tenure-track position.
