JOB DESCRIPTION: The Human Development and
Educational Psychology program is pleased to announce a
tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position for our
undergraduate minor, M.A., Ed.S., and Ph.D. programs. Faculty
members are expected to make contributions in teaching, research,
and service. Primary responsibilities include teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring student researchers,
and developing an active research program including publishing in
high-impact scholarly journals. Teaching assignments will be made
based on professional and academic background and the needs of the
Division; this includes graduate-level research and statistics
courses and both graduate- and undergraduate-level human
development and educational psychology courses, and other courses
as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires an earned doctorate completed by August 22, 2022, in
Educational Psychology, Human Development, Educational Research,
Family Studies, Psychology, School Psychology, Counseling, or a
closely related field. Applicants must show evidence of
accomplishments or strong potential for success in teaching,
research leading to publication, interdisciplinary collaboration,
and professional service. Preference will be given to candidates
with a strong background in research methodology and/or statistics,
evidence of the ability to sustain a focused area of research
through grant-writing and other activities, and collaboration and
mentoring skills. Research interests should align with one of our
areas of specialization: human development or educational
psychology. Candidates with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to

SALARY/COMPENSATION: Salary is commensurate with
qualifications. This is a nine-month, tenure-track appointment with
possibilities of summer employment.

OF COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGY IN EDUCATION: The Human
Development and Educational Psychology program is housed within the
Division of Counseling and Psychology in Education, which is also
home to accredited graduate programs in School Psychology, Clinical
Mental Health, and School Counseling. Faculty in the Human
Development and Educational Psychology program teach coursework
taken by students from all five divisions across the School of
