Job Summary:

The Department of Kinesiology is seeking a full-time instructor for a limited term appointment for the Spring 2022, Summer 2022, and Fall 2022 Semesters. The successful candidate will be a part of a four-person instructional team sharing the small group facilitation, laboratory workshop, and administration responsibilities for two high-enrollment Human Physiology survey courses (ANAT&PHY 335 and 435). ANAT&PHY 335/435 satisfy the preparatory requirements for students intending to enter allied health disciplines, nursing, engineering, and pharmacy. The courses have also become a requirement for several graduate degree majors including biological graduate research programs and health science professional programs, and is considered an essential elective for biology majors. Each five-credit course is one semester-long course and consists of three components: 1) Whole class lecture; 2) Applied Laboratory Workshops; 3) Small Group Discussions.

Education:

Required
Master's Degree in Human Physiology, Human Biology, or related discipline

Qualifications:

Teaching experience, with laboratory teaching preferred
Knowledge of or willingness to learn high-quality STEM instructional practices
Awareness of inclusive instructional practices
Excellent collaboration skills
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
Excellent time management skills, including ability to prioritize manage multiple concurrent tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with online learning management systems and other teaching technologies preferred

This position may be extended due to program need and available funding.
