This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. The Career Advisor provides current relevant career information and developmental coaching to assist students and alumni with creating and executing an individualized career development plan to achieve First Destination Success ( FDS ); develops and maintains relationships with faculty/faculty mentors and senior success advisors to support the career development needs of their curriculum, and the career development needs of their students and alumni; cultivates, develops and maintains relationships with employers and graduate/professional schools across all industries with focus on recruitment of students and alumni from all academic programs represented at UCM ; develops, plans, and executes career development events such as specialized career events and panels to educate and connect students with developmental, experiential and professional opportunities; coordinates the logistical partnership of the UCM Student Employment Program; teaches the Career Readiness Course; assists with the collection, reporting, analysis, and distribution of Career Services statistical data; and coordinates and carries out the Career Center mission through planning, development, marketing and promotional strategies. Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, psychology or related field required.

Master’s degree preferred. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Web Page Maintenance Experience
Two (2) years of experience in customer service, presentations, and adminstrative duties required.

One (1) year of experience in student services, recruiting, human resources, advising, or other related environments required. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills: organization/meeting facilitation/project leadership, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Supervisory skills, including motivation, delegation of duties, evaluation, etc, Management and/or administration skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
